Reviews: Carbona Color & Dirt Grabber

I applied to product test the Carbona Color & Dirt Grabber on StainTalk - Clean Heroes United - powered by Carbona's Facebook fan page on February 9th. On March 1st, I was nicely surprised with an email stating I was chosen! Interestingly, I also received the product in the mail that very same day which was a nice surprise as it said to wait 4 - 6 weeks in the email I was sent. In the package I received a 12-count Carbona Color & Dirt Grabber, branded "Stain Talk" sticker, and an instructional sheet. The two pictures below are what they sent me and the Carbona Color & Dirt Grabber cloths that I used. The top cloth is what it looks like before you use it.

The Carbona Color & Dirt Grabber saves time and prevents accidents by attracting loose dyes and locks them into the cloth and not on your clothes. You can mix all your clothes together and your clothes will stay white, bright and vibrant. No more sorting with Carbona Color & Dirt Grabber. Now you can wash mixed colors with confidence.

I tested the Carbona Color & Dirt Grabber on four of my loads. The first two loads where smaller and just red and dark colors. The first load produced the most dye in the cloth because I washed a fairly brand new pair of red socks in the load. As you can tell from the first cloth above it did a great job capturing the red dye that escaped from that pair of socks. All my cloths turned out great and you could not tell that I had washed my clothes with a fairly new pair of red socks because the Carbona Color & Dirt Grabber captured the red dyes. As for the second load I could not tell if any dyes were collected on the cloth but it wasn't the nice bright white as it starts out so I know it do it's job and collected any trace dyes that these clothes may have had after being washed many times over.

First and second loads.

The last two loads I mixed the reds, whites, and blues (or darks) together. These two loads were larger and I should of made them smaller since it restricted the Carbona Color & Dirt Grabber cloth's ability to move freely and eventually ended up in the rubber ring around the drum where the door of my front loading washer opens. The third load was very similar as the second load in not being too noticeable but just enough to know the Carbona Color & Dirt Grabber cloth was doing it's job. The forth and final load had hints of red and yellowing. The red dyes the Carbona Color & Dirt Grabber cloths collected where from the towels and other red clothes. The yellowing is probably the dirt that the Carbona Color & Dirt Grabber cloth collected from the socks and sweat from the t-shirts.

Third and forth loads.

The Carbona Color & Dirt Grabber cloth did a great job in collecting the dyes and dirt from my cloths. I was really pleased and happy because now I don't have to worry about separating my clothes which in the end saves me time, money and energy. That's less time from not having to separate the clothes. Plus less money and energy from not having to do more loads as I can now combine them which I am happy about.
