Reviews: 20 Mule Team Borax

20 Mule Team Borax is an all-natural detergent booster with odor control. 20 Mule Team Borax increases your detergent's power and controls odors to give you fresh, clean laundry.

So you may be asking yourself, "What is Borax?" as I was when I signed up to review 20 Mule Team Borax as a member of Purex Insiders.  Well, 20 Mule Team Borax is a 100% natural mineral from the earth.  Once removed from the ground it is washed, dried, and boxed for consumers.  Borax is the common name for sodium tetraborate: a naturally occurring substance produced by the perpetual evaporation of seasonal lakes.  Absolutely nothing is added.  No phosphates, chlorine, or other additive chemicals!

20 Mule Team Borax naturally softens hard water, which protects your detergent - so it can maximize cleaning power.  Hard water is defined as water that contains calcium and magnesium (ions).  According to the informational brochure that I received, over 85% of homes have hard water.  So when you use 20 Mule Team Borax you'll have cleaner clothes than detergent alone.  However, that's not all that 20 Mule Team Borax is good at.  It can also be used in the kitchen, on your dishes, pots, and pans, as a dishwasher detergent booster, a multi-purpose cleaner, for cleaning carpets, in the bathrooms,  on pets, with your arts and crafts, and candlewicks.

I was interested in how 20 Mule Team Borax would work as a laundry booster and so I tried it that way.  I liked how it improved my detergent's cleaning power by naturally softening the water.  I also like that it helps keep stains from being re-deposited back onto the clothes.  I think I noticed a difference in my clothes after I washed them in 20 Mule Team Borax.  I also really like that it has more uses than just a laundry booster to make it more versatile around the house.  Plus I also like that it is all natural with nothing added.
